Overview
Klay is an experimental gaming platform built to remove friction from playing web games. No downloads or installations required. Features instant playability, reactive canvas graphics, chess modules, and Supabase integration.
Why I built it
Game ideas often get trapped behind heavy game engines. Klay provides a modular web-native playground where game concepts can be built, played, and shared instantly.
What I was exploring
Browser game physics, real-time multiplayer coordination, Canvas rendering, and game UI minimalism.
How it works
Built using React, Vite, and Tailwind CSS. Games use Canvas API or reactive state trees. Supabase provides backend state and leaderboard support.
Technology
Interesting problems
Building crisp game feel and physics in pure JavaScript without external heavy game engines. Keeping memory footprint low for mobile browsers.
What I learned
The web browser is an exceptionally capable gaming runtime when constrained smartly. Instant access dramatically increases player engagement.
Current status
Active — A living collection of browser games — multiplayer party games, chess, reaction puzzles, and psychological experiments — instantly playable in the browser.
